I am a friendly, organised tutor with experience tutoring at A Level and GCSE level Maths. I have BSc in Mathematics, Statistics, and Business from LSE (London School of Economics) having achieved First Class Honours (1:1). I am also a fully qualified ICAEW Chartered Accountant. I have also achieved A*AA at A level (Maths, Further Math, and Chemistry) and 12 A*s and 2As at GCSE. My excellent academic record places me in good stead for the role of tutor. I live and breathe mathematics, having taken Math, Further Math, and Additional Math at GCSE (FSMQ), Math, Further Math and Additional Math modules at A-level and Math at university at one of the best universities in the world, and consistently achieved the highest possible grades.
I have been working as a Maths tutor for the past two years, assisting a diverse range of students with varying objectives in their studies. My experience spans all major exam boards and includes both A level and GCSE tutoring. I offer both in-person and online tutoring services throughout South West London. My students have had different goals, from aiming for a pass to striving for top grades like As and A*. I tailor my lessons according to the exam board, the student’s current level, and their specific goals.
I find great satisfaction in working with students who are enthusiastic about learning and are willing to put in extra effort to reach their objectives. I take pleasure in getting to know my students and supporting them until they gain confidence in the material. Witnessing their progress and achievements has been a highly rewarding experience.
I have provided Maths tutoring across different levels and exam boards, both online and in person. My experience includes working with students who have diverse goals, from those aiming simply to pass to those striving for top grades like an A.
Regardless of your current level or target, I am here to assist you in enhancing your understanding to help you achieve your goals.
I always customise tutoring sessions to meet each student's individual needs. Ahead of our tuition, we will identify the topics that require additional focus and outline a general lesson plan, which can be shared with both the student and their parent.
Typically, each lesson covers 1-3 topics, depending on their relatedness and the student’s level of comprehension. Lessons generally include a review of key concepts, practice with simpler questions, and then more challenging exam-style questions that we work through together and evaluate using the mark scheme. This approach helps students understand what examiners look for, enabling them to maximize their points. If desired, I can also provide extra questions for homework to offer additional practice.
I request that students inform me of any specific needs or requests at least three days before the lesson. This allows me adequate time to gather relevant questions and mark schemes to enhance our session.
Please note that a 24-hour cancellation policy applies to all bookings.
I also offer a 20% discount on all lessons which are booked for online tuition as opposed to in person.
