As a classroom teacher, I am committed to providing outstanding teaching methods to improve the grades of students. I am equally able to simplify complex Business and Economics concepts using real-life examples for sustained interest and developed learning for students. I am a Key stage 4 and 5 specialist teacher with experience of teaching at GCSE, A level and undergraduate level. My experience includes teaching both native (at the Harrodian School and Radnor House School, London) and a range of international students, with EAL(at DLD College, London). At DLD college, I taught Business and Economics on the International Foundation Programme and also taught management and marketing to undergraduate students of the University of Buckingham, at their affiliated London centre, DLD college Belgravia. In my current role, I have demonstrated excellent organisation skills in managing the most popular department, Economics, with outstanding student results, ie, over 94% A*- B A level 2021- 22, raising the grades from the last 5 years average of 84%, since taking over the role three years ago. I have engineered a range of interventionist strategies in the department which has allowed effective remedial actions thus ensuring high-quality results, like raising the VA from 9 to 12. Meticulously written Schemes of work and high-quality resources allow for the effective delivery of content. My particular strength is offering highly differentiated lessons for students. My experience of teaching on various exam boards and being an examiner for IGCE at CIE and an A-level examiner is a key to my success in preparing students well for the public exams.I am a professional who believes in continuous professional development, this is demonstrated by the various training programmes I have undertaken in my career, like obtaining the QTS. I see my experience of working in the corporate world also very useful, especially for the students looking to work in the City. I am happy to share my first-hand experiences of the corporate world and give them insights into the real-life application of the subject. My reputation of being an approachable and friendly individual is evident in the testimony from both parents and students alike. I have designed many 'CLIL' resources for international students, hence giving me ease when working with foreign students.
