Hey there! Shayan here, I'm a graduate from The University of Cambridge having specialised in Astrophysics. I've always loved teaching, as the eldest child I first started teaching my younger siblings at quite a young age and through the years I've found it to be a very rewarding experience, for me and my students. I've achieved top results in academic and extra-curricular activities, so I can help you find that balance. As an experienced tutor I know what it's like to be stuck on a topic for ages, only to be explained in a new light for it to suddenly make sense. I can also help with university applications and admission exams.
I've been teaching for about 10 years now, where I've taught students from 11+, to GCSEs and A-levels.
I've given one-to-one tuitions as well as group sessions. I volunteered at a nearby school whilst at Cambridge, where I was a teacher's assistant at a local sixth form's further maths class.
I've helped prospective university applicants with their applications, including personal statement advice, mock interviews, admissions test practice.
In addition to this all, I've worked at summer camps and private tuition firms where I've designed and managed teaching programmes, curriculums, teachers/tutors & student performance.
I like to focus on designing and delivering tailor-made lessons for my students, based on their individual needs.
That's why one of my success stories includes a child (who was previously underachieving) passing his 11+ exam, although I was teaching him subjects that weren't my strength.
I've worked with students of various age groups and subjects, from academics to university applications.
I've been involved in teaching for a few years now, from groups to one on one levels, and I really enjoy it, as it's a process where both the pupil and teacher learn something new from every lesson. Therefore, just like every student, no two lessons are alike with me.
