I am an energetic individual. I am very confident, and am currently studying a MPhil in English Language and so have a good working knowledge and understanding of the field. I also have experience teaching at various high schools, colleges and at University level. I do currently work full time in the financial sector. I believe that the experience I have earned in mainstream work ensures that I am able to incorporate this into my teaching approach and provide a more well-rounded and wholesome tutoring approach.
Previously I have lectured at De Montfort University, as well as tutoring part time and teaching at schools in Stoke-on-Trent and Leicester. I have also worked for Explore Learning, teaching children ranging from 6-16, and at independent colleges, teaching both GCSE and A Level
I am usually quite laid back and believe it is important to create a relaxed learning environment in order to allow the learner to feel confident and comfortable. I believe these two things are crucial in order for people to develop their skills.
