I am a second year medical student at Kings College London, who has been tutoring GCSE students for over 5 years. My tutoring approach is tailored to each student’s learning style, with a focus on building a strong grasp of key concepts and developing effective exam techniques. I strive to create a supportive, friendly, and structured environment that helps students gain confidence and take ownership of their learning. With a background in medicine, I’m able to provide deeper insight into science topics and real-world applications.

Tutoring Experience

I have experience teaching both AQA and Edexcel exam boards and am confident in delivering GCSE and IGCSE content for Biology and Chemistry. I also teach A-Level Psychology for AQA. My students have ranged from Key Stage 3 to GCSE level, including resit students, many of whom have gone on to achieve strong results, including securing pass grades or higher after previously struggling.

Tutoring Approach

My student's needs determine the lesson plan but generally, I prepare a high-quality lesson with information on the topic we will be studying and go over the content. Once they have a clear understanding, we spend the majority of the lesson contextualising the topic in the form of exam questions. This improves their ability to grasp this topic and apply it to any scenario. Towards the end of the lesson, I practice random past paper questions with them and if this proves to be difficult, this determines the topic of our next lesson. If the student wants to learn a specific topic, I encourage them to let me know beforehand.
