Sarah is literally a godsend and I would encourage anyone needing maths tuition to look no further!

My son has the capacity to do much better than he was doing, but he lacks confidence (and focus sometimes!). Sarah was able to draw him out of himself from the very first lesson they had together and in a very short space of time he's gone from being downright morose at the thought of maths of any sort to actually believing he can have a go. I can't stress how significant a step this is for him - and it's thanks entirely to Sarah.

If you want someone dedicated, professional, diligent, and brilliant at engaging at the student's level, then that's what you'll get with Sarah. She genuinely cares about bringing out the best in her students and encouraging them to try - it's a testament to her talent that she manages to do this whilst maintaining a safe space for them in which they feel empowered to thrive - and also to get things wrong without censure.

I’m so thrilled to see a GCSE pass today for my daughter who was and is a maths ‘hater’. My daughter has always struggled with it as a subject and as such ignored it (hoped it would go away!) and was adamant it was impossible. I can’t thank Sarah enough for putting up with her and the down to earth, no nonsense support.
Sarah always had high expectations of my daughter’s capabilities, pushed through the negativity and her resistance to the help and really just made a difference. I can’t recommend her highly enough. So far so good. Sarah has been great with her communication and my daughter already feels like she is learning something far easier than from school so I have a great deal of faith in her helping Ruby do much better in her GCSES. I also love the fact that she gives a report after the initial meeting which is very encouraging.

Sarah has been tutoring my daughter for the last 3 years and she has taken her from somebody who dreaded maths and had no confidence in her ability and transformed her into a Student that is top of her class and more importantly somebody who loves maths. Sarah is patient and takes complex maths and explains it in a simple and logical fashion. Sarah really cares about her student and over the 3 years I have seen her go above and beyond to ensure my daughter achieves to the best of her ability in all of the maths tests she has sat. A true Proffesional who has not missed a lesson in 3 years with my daughter, she has become a part of my daughters educational life. I cannot recommend Sarah highly enough.

Sarah has been an excellent tutor. Her sessions are structured. She usually identifies areas that require improvement during the session, explains the work then provides resources accordingly. Most importantly, she is a nice person and makes students feel at ease during the lesson. My daughter really benefited from these sessions. Highly recommended!

On my behalf, I'd say Sara's tutoring has improved my son's mathematical ability to understand as well as solve any questions I give him. I recommend her for her great teaching abilities and capability to teach the unteachable. She has changes my son's way of seeing math and I am grateful. He achieved more than I expected in his math test.

Sarah has been an exceptional teacher for our 13 year old. She really did take notice of his needs. She set the pace correctly and gave him the right level of work and confidence in his ability. Her support to help him succeed was in excess of our expectation. I would use her again and highly recommend her. As a former Head Teacher, with an outstanding school, I know a good teacher when I see one.

My daughter really enjoyed her lessons with Sarah and we are thrilled that she achieved a grade 8 in her GCSE which she would have struggled to do without her help. For the past six years I have struggled to achieve my Grade C/4 in Mathematics GCSE. My confidence was greatly knocked and I had no faith, when I was diagnosed with Dyscalculia I felt I was ready to face Maths again but needed to find the correct tutor who was able to guide me through my struggles. Sarah was the first tutor that caught my eye. Her kindness, support and simple way of breaking down topics allowed me to develop my confidence to sit my Maths GCSE. As a result, I have managed to pass my Maths GCSE and achieve my Grade 4. I cannot thank or recommend Sarah enough, she is patient, organised and helps you build the confidence to get where you need to be.

Sarah has supported 2 of my children in passing their maths GCSE. F2F initially she immediately recognised the different support each needed. Moving on line the focus and patience Sarah provided going over the topics being covered at school that week has been invaluable, and both were happy to have these weekly sessions with her.

Sarah was very patient with me as I really struggled with Maths and have done all my life. But she kept helping me over the course of our lessons and when I opened my results this morning I got the surprise of my life when I had passed. I would highly recommend her.

Our daughter had a knowledge gap, as she studied abroad, not following English National Curriculum, for 2 years. Sarah provided excellent support and coaching for our daughter helping her to gain her confidence and to bridge the gap in her maths studies.

The support ranged from normal online lessons, targeted focus on our daughter’s key areas of need and loads of test questions and papers to prepare our daughter to re-take her Maths GCSE.

This paid off immensely with our daughter achieving the highest possible for her retake of a grade 5 from her original grade 3.

Sarah worked brilliantly on line with my year 7 grandson through lockdown. She takes care to explain things carefully and is patient and understanding. Sarah is probably the most professional and effective tutor I have worked with to-date.
I wanted GCSE Maths tutoring for a 14-year old. Sarah has been a wonderful find.
The lessons are conducted over Skype (even pre-pandemic) which is so convenient. There is no need to organise transport & times can be flexed when absolutely necessary.
Sarah's approach & resources are incredibly professional and the progress made very strong.
The student feels so much more confident with their school work.
This has already been a relatively long-standing relationship and I imagine that this will continue for the forseeable future.

My daughter has only had 2 lessons so far but is already reaping the benefits

Sarah is extremely professional, helpful and knowledgable. I received a D at gcse when I was in school over 12 years ago. Taking my exams again was extremely difficult but Sarah guided me along the whole way and was so patient. I received an A in my IGCSE maths exam and I know this would not have been possible without her help.

Miss Sarah is an excellent math tutor, she pays great attention to her student's and makes sure that they understand before allowing them to continue. She sets a lot of homework's so that her students can have a lot of practice to make sure that that knowledge stays with them. She has a flexible time table and she was always on time to every lesson.

My daughter started having tuition with Sarah at the beginning of Y11 in preparation for her GCSE’s. Maths had been a subject that she had lacked confidence with for a couple of years and within a short period of time that she started tuition with Sarah we could see how much more confident she was becoming and that she had a better understanding of maths problems. My daughter received her GCSE results last week and she is delighted with her maths result (moving up 3 grades from a previous mock exam). Without Sarah’s help, support and encouragement this wouldn’t have been possible. I would highly recommend Sarah.

Sarah tutored me from November to March and aided my maths Sats score improve from 520-600. During this time Sarah was very diligent and described problems in a easy to comprehend manner. I found working with Sarah improved my confidence with Maths and made me want to continue to improve in the future.

Sarah has a very pragmatic approach to her lessons. Sarah is on time, efficient and squeezes every inch of time into my daughters sessions. My daughter believes that she cannot do maths but Sarah is showing her otherwise. Sarah is the best tutor I have fond on this website. I absolutely believe, and more importantly so does my daughter that she will achieve a decent GSCE if she continues weekly sessions with Sarah during term time and more then weekly during the holidays. Sarah is a real find!

Sarah was fantastic with our son, he had always found maths challenging and for me the subject was his nemesis.

Sarah managed to make him feel relaxed and able to finally do maths! He got on very well with Sarah and commented that she made him feel confident in the subject. She was always on hand to help, flexible with her lessons, understanding and very competent.

Sarah has been absolutely fantastic with my son who recently failed his gcse maths. Maths was not his favourite subject but since Sarah came on board what a difference! My son has recently re taken his maths exam. His preparation has been done with care and his confidence level is so much higher with a deeper understanding of the subject. Sarah keeps motivation high with well prepared sessions and structured work allocated each week for own learning. This is always reviewed and marked at the beginning of each session. Thank you so much for helping me achieve my C grade in Maths, without you I wouldn't know how I would be able to pass. The lessons have been intense, and hard for me, as I have had to do my other A levels alongside with my GCSE Maths, but overall it was worth the push and work we did in our lessons. Sarah's online tutorials have been a great option for my daughter. She is calm and patient, and she zeroes in on where the gaps in understanding are. Sarah sets homework every time, which allows my daughter to really dig in and practice the skills. I would not hesitate to recommend her.

Sarah was a fantastic tutor for our daughter who helped give her so much more confidence in Maths.
I was a bit doubtful initially with it being on skype but have to say there was never a problem.
Sarah was always there for Daniella. She gave Daniella homework and always marked it, and went through the ones she struggled with together in the next lesson.

My daughter is in Year 11 and has been receiving tutoring for her GCSE's from Sarah over the last 3 months. My daughter has benefitted from Sarah's approach. She doesn't rush through the topics, but takes the time to go at a slower pace for my daughter to understand how to resolve a maths problem.

On the last set of mock exams that were done in February 2017 she has gone from a 'C' grade to an 'A' grade.

Haaris is very pleased with the online lessons so far, he appreciates the fact that no time gets wasted in travelling especially with his exams coming up around the corner. Sarah explains maths in a very systematic manner and makes sure Haaris keeps his thinking cap on throughout the lesson. Sarah is very organised and plans the lessons well (and in advance). My daughter said she has a good balance between self-direction and direct teaching and she supplies good resources. Only had 2 lessons so far, but pleased with the help received to date.

Very pleased with the work that Sarah is doing my daughter. Her confidence is growing every week and she is enjoying maths a lot more. Very informal one to one learning with great results so far.

We have had a very positive experience with Sarah. We originally made contact as my Son, needed some fine tuning with his Maths, as he already had a good understanding. He has just taken the Intermediate exam and acheived top marks which I am sure has a lot to do with Sarah's tutoring and raising his confidence levels. We have booked in for another lot of sessions with the Higher paper coming up.

Our daughter Ema has had three sessions with Sarah so far and her knowledge and confidence has already increased. She was patient with our daughter and took time and care in preparation for her lessons as well as during them. Not only Sarah is highly professional, she is also friendly and a great tutor.

My daughter has struggled consistently with Math from an early age and we had been told she probably has a form of dyscalculia. Sarah is really turning things around for her - Megan is starting to understand and actually enjoy Math for the first time. Sarah is hugely supportive and puts her students at ease immediately. Megan is now gaining confidence with each session and is starting to believe- for the first time - that she will actually be able to pass her IGCSE Math next year!

Sarah has recently started to tutor my 9 year old son. Its fair to say that Maths is not his favourite subject, however Sarah has managed to engage with him and make it fun. I can see that his confidence and ability in the subject has improved since he has been tutored by Sarah. Now he is much more willing to take on maths questions whereas previously he would have struggled or have been quick to give up.

Sarah is an excellent teacher & I would highly recommend her teaching. She is well organised and uses different methods to teach concepts to her pupils, including visual cues.
