Hello, my name is Sarah and I've been a tutor now since 2012. My main subjects cover GCSE/A2 English, History and Psychology. I really enjoy tutoring and have been really pleased to see students progress after having that dedicated time to make sense of their studies, and learn new skills.

I've been a tutor since 2012. I started when I graduated and enjoy it so much that year on year, I always decide to continue.
In initial sessions, I seek to understand what a student's needs are, their exam board and current topics and their goals. I put together an action plan with the student and then use sessions to work through this, checking in regularly to ensure sessions are working for the student. I'm very receptive to feedback and whilst I will do a learning styles assessment at the start, I'm always able to adapt sessions. I try to make sessions as fun as I can and build good relationships with my students so they feel comfortable talking to me about their learning needs.
I'm familiar with a wide range of exam boards including AQA, Edexcel and OCR for all subjects I support and access specifications regularly to keep on top of criteria
