I’m a friendly, experienced tutor who is passionate about helping students build confidence, make progress, and enjoy learning. With a warm and approachable style, I’ve been described as both inspirational and motivational by students and parents alike. I receive most of my tutoring requests through personal recommendations, which speaks volumes about the positive impact I have and the strong relationships I build with both learners and families.
I’m a qualified teacher with many years of classroom and tutoring experience, working with students from Reception to Year 11 in maths and English. I completed my teaching degree as a mature student, bringing with me valuable life experience that continues to shape my teaching. I also studied for a master’s in counselling children and young people, which gives me a deeper understanding of how to support students emotionally as well as academically. I’ve worked as a senior leader in schools, trained teachers, and supported whole-school development—so I bring a wealth of insight and proven strategies to every session.
My tutoring is completely tailored to each student’s needs, whether they’re struggling with confidence, need extra support, or are ready to be stretched further. I work quickly to identify where they are, what’s holding them back, and how to move forward. Sessions are engaging, structured, and reassuring, helping students make connections, feel more confident, and prepare effectively for exams such as SATs or GCSEs. I’m passionate about helping every student unlock their potential—and I believe learning should feel achievable, empowering, and even fun.
