I am a semi-retired teacher of mathematics. I have over 30 years experience working in independent, grammar and state schools in South London.
I obtained my PGCE/QTS over 30 years ago, after graduating with a degree of Mathematics, at a top university in London.
I have worked for over 30 years, splitting my time between state, independent and grammar schools. I have taught year groups from Year 7 - Year 13, I spent 10 years as a head of department at an Ofsted rated outstanding school.
I taught AQA, Edexcel, OCR and WJEC Mathematics, my students have a 100% pass rate, with over 80% obtaining a grade 7-9 at GCSE and over 70% obtaining grade A*-C at A Level.
I am a kind and understanding teacher, but I am firm. I expect my students to turn up prepared for the lessons, maximising their time with me to ensure they are reaching their full potential. Tuition is a basis to supplement education and provide a support net to students to achieve great results, and hence to open their doors further,
I expect my students to complete the homework I set every week to their best of their ability. I also expect my students to turn up to every single lesson in a mindset ready to learn.
