I am an experienced Maths teacher at a reputable secondary school and have taught here for the last 20 years. I have responsibility for Key Stage 4 lead in my role.
I can work with all levels of students and have many resources available to teach online through Microsoft Teams. My exam classes are very successful at both Higher and Foundation tier. I can also prepare students for Further Maths Level 2 qualification (£5 additional). Students are well prepared for Mock assessments and any other regular assessments throughout the academic year.
I can also tailor lessons for students in Years 12/13 or adult learners who are to resit GCSE examinations.
I have a PGCE Maths Qualification from Newcastle University.
I am also a Maths exam marker for the Edexcel exam board and show students how to deal with common misconceptions during lessons.
In addition I am able to prepare students for the numeracy private school assessment.
I am able to deal with all different levels of students from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4 with my vast amount of teaching experience. I am approachable, friendly and a calm teacher.
Although I mainly tutor online, face to face tutoring is available at my home. I do not travel out.
Students have progressed by up to 2 levels a year and confidence levels have increased by all students I have tutored.

Tutoring Experience

I have provided online tuition for the last 10 years.

Tutoring Approach

I will provide worked examples explaining step by step what is required to students and then allow the student to practice. Answers and methods will be discussed.
The lesson will allow fluency, reasoning and problem solving questions tailored to the level of each student.
My lessons are taught via powerpoint and through Microsoft Teams which have been extremely successful.
