My name is Sahand Removed and I am a teacher who has worked in a variety of educational settings over the last 9 years.
I am passionate about the subjects I teach and try to make lessons as engaging and interesting as possible for my students.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy a range of hobbies such as hiking, playing sports, watching films and going to live music concerts.
I have worked in a variety of different educational backgrounds, from English language schools to International schools. I have lived and worked in several different countries including Oman, Ireland, Qatar and Uzbekistan.
I taught English language to students in Ireland between 2016-2019, with a special focus on young learners, and have continued to tutor in this subject privately over the last few years.
Between 2020-2023 I was working in Uzbekistan as a Humanities and English teacher in an international school, working with students aged 11-19, and teaching GCSE and A-level Geography and History.
My approach is tailored individually around each students, and where they feel they need to focus their attention on. I like to use a variety of different methods to keep lessons engaging and interesting, and try to use techniques that will help maximise knowledge retention.
I am particularly adept at focusing on essay technique and structure, vocabulary extension, exam strategies and practice for a variety of exams from GCSE and A-level, to IELTS and FCE in English language teaching.
