I´m a German native teacher/former university lecturer with 10+ yrs experience offering engaging online and in-person lessons. With a Master’s Degree in Translation from the University of Heidelberg and teaching qualifications from the Goethe Institute I can guide you confidently on your journey to learning German.

After spending several years living and working in Italy, Canada, and Spain, I am now settled in Edinburgh. This international experience has not only shaped my love for languages but also deepened my understanding of different learning approaches and cultural perspectives — something I strive to incorporate into my lessons.

Tutoring Experience

Prior to starting my own teaching business, I worked as a lecturer in the Languages and Translation Department at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, supporting students pursuing careers in German Translation and Interpreting. I speak English, Spanish, and Italian -- so have a lot of first hand experience learning languages myself.

I also provide additional resources to help you continue learning outside our lessons. My goal is to make learning German enjoyable and enriching, so you gain not only language skills but also cultural insights and practical knowledge. In my lessons, you'll find a relaxed and supportive environment where you're encouraged to speak freely and make mistakes — without pressure or judgement. Everyone learns differently: some of my students love diving deep into German grammar, while others simply want to pass their exam. Some learn best by taking notes, others prefer visual or digital aids, and some memorise new words most effectively by perfecting their pronunciation. I'll pay close attention to what works best for you and adjust my teaching to fit your style.
