Tutoring Experience

Primed with my degree in English Literature & Education and my experience as a school TA - I decided I would help children find their story-writing bug!

Tutoring Approach

If your child is struggling to write stories or put their ideas onto paper, then they will thrive with a creative writing tutor.

Tutoring shouldn't be like school. It should be a fun way to boost your child's writing skills, with games and activities that put them at the heart of the lesson.

Your child will learn how to plan, structure and edit their writing. They will power up their poetry with similes, metaphors and rhyme. And they will develop their vocabulary to really make their stories sparkle!

My focus is always about celebrating children's creative ideas. Once they're feeling motivated and ready to write, then I gently guide their grammar and spellings.

Although I'm not a specialist dyslexia tutor, I'd love to make my lessons as engaging and inclusive for your child as possible.

They might like to use a laptop or a tablet to type, or to record their ideas vocally, and that's great! I'll use a visual timetable to help them stay on track. Plus, I'll give them extra thinking time, reading time and writing time.
