A professional administrator with over ten year's experience in the art and heritage sector, I have been tutoring English Literature and Language for four years. I hold a Masters Degree in History of Art with Photography and volunteer in a small museum in my spare time. Passionate about the arts, I have experience of working in organisations such as Tate Britain, the Venice Biennale, London Transport Museum and the National Glass Centre.
I have three years' experience tutoring GSCE English Literature and Language. I helped one student move from a D grade to an A* grade. I have also designed and taught a module on contemporary museums in London for international adult professionals at London School of Business and Finance.
I only take one student at a time so we can work together to personalise sessions to best support the student's learning experience.
I work with students on the areas they seek to improve and create lessons that are visually engaging and interactive. My lessons are designed to encourage confidence in learners, providing encouragement and a positive learning environment. The work we do together will push the student to uncover how much they already know, to grow their understanding of the wider artistic and social context of works of literature and art, and to have the confidence to ask the right questions to aid their own learning.
I hope to create a positive learning experience and to share my enthusiasm with students to boost confidence, have fun and naturally improve grades.
