My name is Rosie and I am a qualified primary school teacher. Since graduating in 2019, and whilst training, I have worked as a supply teacher and tutor with pupils throughout the North East. I offer tuition both in person and online via zoom.
I have a large amount of experience working with and teaching children, from nursery age through to year 11.
I have looked after family members, and family friends children from a young age. I have also done a lot of voluntary work with children, from working as a teaching assistant, to working at a children's camp. In June 2019 I completed my training to be a qualified primary teacher, working with children of a variety of ages and phases in school. Since completing my PGCE in 2019, I have worked as a supply teacher and tutor in schools across the North East, covering Nursery through to year 11. I have also worked 1-1 with pupils both in school and privately at home to help increase their attainment. I specialise in Phonics and Maths through the primary phase and into KS4. I have experience teaching children with SEND, including those who are neurodiverse as well as with children who have more complex learning needs.
I believe each child is different and requires a different approach! A lot of the children I tutor are younger (KS1 age), and because of this I encourage a lot of their learning to happen through playing games and by encouraging active participation.
