I am a passionate educator with 25 years of experience in schools, including many years as a Pre-Prep Head and senior leader, working closely with children and parents to create positive, supportive learning environments. Throughout my career, I have built strong, trusting relationships with families, always recognising that every child is unique and learns in their own way.
As a parent of four children, I have seen firsthand how effective different learning styles and approaches can be. Some children thrive with structure, others need more creative freedom, and all benefit from patience, encouragement, and the right strategies to help them succeed. This personal experience, combined with my professional background, allows me to understand both the challenges and aspirations of parents while tailoring my teaching to meet the individual needs of each child.
I believe that with the right support, every child can build confidence, develop a love for learning, and achieve their goals. My role is to work collaboratively with families, ensuring children feel supported, motivated, and empowered to reach their full potential.

Tutoring Experience

With over 25 years of experience in education, I have worked closely with children from Early Years to Key Stage 3, focusing on developing strong foundations in English and Maths.

As a former Pre-Prep Head and Deputy Head Academic, I have extensive expertise in:

• Early development and Key Stage 1 support across all subject areas – fostering essential skills in young learners through engaging and creative learning

• Early literacy and numeracy development – helping learners build confidence in reading, writing, and maths

• Brain training and puzzles – using problem-solving activities to enhance cognitive skills and support non-verbal reasoning

• Building self-belief and resilience – helping children overcome learning barriers and develop a positive mindset

• Exam preparation – supporting students with entrance exams, SATs, and school assessments

• Tailoring learning to individual needs – ensuring every child feels supported, challenged, and motivated

My experience in leading schools, mentoring educators, and curriculum development ensures that I bring the highest standard of teaching and personalised support to every student.
