I am a graduate of University College, Dublin, from which I graduated with a First Class Honours degree in English Literature. I have won multiple awards for poetry and my writing has been published in acclaimed journals. I have experience tutoring young people at various levels, and am particularly experienced with exam prep, essay writing and comprehension/close reading. I am very familiar with the English GCSE/A-Level curriculum and have been described as highly capable and communicative as well as fun and approachable.
I have worked with all ages. Knowledge of A-Level and GCSE syllabi, able to travel. Lessons are 1-1.5 hours, at £25-£55 each.
I have privately tutored in London and Glasgow. I am a published poet and have led seminars and workshops at universities and galleries, bringing a strong academic and creative approach to learning.
I have a multi-faceted and tailored approach to teaching, allowing students to engage on their own terms so they can genuinely retain lesson content rather than learning by rote. Given my own high level of experience in academic and literary contexts, I aim to inspire confidence in students by instilling my own sense of enthusiasm for literature.
