I am a PhD candidate at Manchester University investigating physical modelling of metals and combining this with machine learning.
Following my degree in Materials Science from Oxford University, I have almost a decade of experience working as a metallurgist (a Materials Scientist specialising in high performance metals and alloys) in a range of R & D and engineering roles.
I have a three years' experience from industry in assisting the development and teaching of technical apprentices, and worked as a tutor since February tutoring A-Level Physics and Maths
I enjoy tutoring and try to create an atmosphere where tutees can attempt questions and make mistakes without judgement. Much of my approach is to get students to work through examples and try to understand the source of confusion for key concepts.
