I am an experienced and enthusiastic tutor of music- woodwinds, piano, theory and composition, teaching both children and adults online. I have a first class BMus(Hons) from the Royal Academy of Music in Jazz Performance (Saxophone) with second study Composition, an LRAM teaching diploma, Grade 8 ABRSM Piano and a Graduate Certificate in Humanistic and Psychodynamic Counselling from Goldsmiths University. I've been teaching and performing professionally since 2011.

I love teaching anyone who has the desire to learn- beginners, more experienced players, students preparing for exams and auditions (both practical and theory), GCSE/A Level composition coursework, improving knowledge of theory, feedback on songwriting and composition.

Tutoring Experience

I have many years of teaching experience with children and adults of all stages from beginner to Grade 8+. My students have a 100% pass rate on ABRSM/Trinity/Rockschool exams and I have experience tutoring GCSE and A Level composition coursework in groups and with individuals. I have experience preparing instrumentalists for theory exams in order to progress with their performance grades.

Over the years I have worked as a private tutor and for Brent Music Service, Waltham Forest Music Service and Merton Music Foundation, as a bandleader, sideman and session musician all around the world.

Tutoring Approach

Every student is different. I tailor my lessons to suit the learning styles and specific goals which can include graded exams, support with a specific areas of music, studying theory, learning jazz, classical and pop songs, composition and instrumental techniques.
