Hello there! Romãn here. A PhD student passionate about teaching and helping students tap into their own potential and elevate their confidence! Having benefited a lot from tuition myself during my school days, I've always appreciated the impact that has had on my academic journey and would love to make the same impact on other students’ lives!

Tutoring Experience

I have been actively tutoring along with my studies for the last 10 years, with a focus on GCSE and A-Level Maths. My goal is to always improve my student's grade by at least 2 Grades and I have an average 80% success rate of doing that so far. Above all, the feedback I get is the confidence I leave with the student after they Have worked with me. Students feel empowered and more confident to work on their own after some time with me.

Tutoring Approach

I believe very much in a collaborative approach. First, I like to see some of the student's graded work, to see how they think, what their specific and general challenges are. And the first few lessons are to work on those key challenges. Once we have ironed out the key struggles we begin a Past Paper focused practice where the goal is to get the student familiar with exam style questions, and techniques to solve the questions effectively and efficiently. This has proven a winning strategy which I have adopted from my own days during A-Levels in college where I obtained A* grade for my maths and have adopted it since.
