Thank-you for taking the time to read my profile.
With so many exciting discoveries throughout all of the sciences, often the understanding part to learning needs a boost to fully 'get' the material; this is where I can help you.
Together we will develop your science skills, knowledge, and application ready for examinations in a friendly, non-judgmental, open learning environment.
My teaching experience is built from a range of circumstances: formal lecturing and classroom environments, laboratory-based work, tutorial groups and, of course, as a private tutor.
I teach both theoretical and practical knowledge - this is particularity useful if you wish to know not only the “why”, but also the “how”.
I have successfully completed university organised teaching courses accredited by the Higher Education Academy at both Exeter and Liverpool.
Previously, the individuals I have worked span all ages, abilities and backgrounds - no-one is ever to young nor too old to need a helping hand once in awhile. From Yr 5/6 Primary school through High School, to College and Undergraduate/Post-graduate levels; I am also available for adult learners wishing to grow their scientific knowledge and skills.
Friendly, enjoyable and hassle-free tutoring sessions.
Initially, we will establish your achievable goals. Your position within the curriculum or within our working time-frame, will help us to build your knowledge, skills and confidence. Previous exam papers, current UK syllabuses and “mini-quizzes” form the formal part of my prepared work.
But please don’t be put off by this - this serves solely to help you reach your full potential. I am guided by your feedback just as much as your produced work. My aim is to construct successful, stress-free methods that work best for you to gain further understanding and to increase your scientific abilities.
The use of FaceTime/Google Meeting, and an interactive whiteboard system are all part of my approach to tutoring; each in turn supporting the session.
I reply to all tutoring enquiries. So, if you have a general question, or if you want to discuss how we can work together to achieve your goals, just drop me line.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
