I work for a globally renowned international politics magazine that specialises in making academic ideas more accessible. My role includes lecturing and teaching the issues covered in the magazine to university and A level students.
My main subject is politics, specialising in political science, political economy, economic history and political and economic theory, but I regularly teach students and pupils studying politics, sociology, history and economics on a wide array of topics and modules.
I have been tutoring since 2015. I have taught at language schools and universities, but mainly tutor 1 to 1 online and in person
I instill knowledge and understanding by nurturing the pre-existing interests of the student and relating the material to familiar real-world examples. I also structure lessons so that key concepts are repeated and reapplied at timely intervals to help students remember and, ultimately, master the material.
I teach A level politics regularly and know the syllabus for each of the exam boards well. I can guide A level and university students through essays and dissertations, tutor for exams, and raise your overall understanding of modules and degree courses.
For students who want regular lessons throughout the academic year, I practice a simple technique that has a proven record of elevating students' grades.
