I am passionate about literature specialising in Shakespeare, the English classics and 20th century American literature. I am also a father of three teenagers - two of whom are navigating GCSE and A-level studies.

Tutoring Experience

I have specialised in A-level English literature for 22 years having led departmental teaching at KS5. I have successfully mentored a number of students through the Oxbridge process for English literature and have taught the majority of the key texts. In addition I am a highly experienced GCSE language and literature teacher.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is always to provide students with knowledge, develop their skills and provide them with the confidence to successfully navigate exams. I am very experienced and so can tailor any lesson around a student's strengths and weaknesses.
