I am a qualified primary teacher who has taught all year groups with an extensive knowledge of the national curriculum.
The best part about teaching is seeing a child's expression when they have that eureka moment.
I teach Maths and English, prepare students for SATS and the 11+ entrance exams for grammar and independent schools with excellent results!
Tutoring Experience
I have taught children of all abilities from those students who need to be challenged and stretched to those who just need that little extra support and guidance, including children with special educational needs.
I also have experience in teaching basic skills and phonics to Early Years. Furthermore, I am bilingual and have experience of teaching children whose first language may not be English.
I have also mentored trainee primary teachers in how to plan and deliver lessons and meet every child's need.
Tutoring Approach
My main aim is for my students to feel comfortable, confident, enjoy learning and reach their full potential.
I teach using resources and learning styles which fits to your child's individual need so they can gain a good understanding of the subject, progress quickly and 'find that light at the end of the tunnel'.
At the end of all my lessons I provide homework and regular feedback. Also, I maintain great communication with parents/ guardians which I believe is important in helping students progress.
