I can support you with Oxbridge interview exams, having helped hundreds of students prepare for their interviews across a range of subjects.

I graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2010 where I read Economics and have over 1,000 hours of tutoring experience.

I run my own Public Speaking Coaching agency - Podium Perfect - and have coached over 15,000 people from over 100 countries. I have delivered public speaking training to a number of Universities, including the University of Cambridge.

I have trained members of the public and private sector in interview technique and public speaking - including hundreds of University applicants, over 30 MPs in the UK, and politicians from six different countries. I participate in public speaking competitions and in 2017, won the London competition and South East region competition for the Association of Speaking Clubs, and then placed fourth nationally.

Since graduating, I have worked as an Economic Adviser to a Member of Parliament, including working on a policy campaign that led to a change in the law. I stood for Parliament in the General Elections of 2015 and 2017.

I studied Economics, Mathematics and Modern History for A-Level, and English Literature at AS-Level, achieving A-grades (the highest possible at the time) in all of them.

I have continued tutoring due to my love of teaching and I believe that it benefits both me, and the student.

Tutoring Experience

ONLINE TUTORING OFFERED

I have over 500 hours of experience in preparing students for University - helping students with their personal statements, preparing for the TSA and other entrance exams and interview techniques (which is a particular strength). I have also worked for Oxbridge Applications and have been trained extensively in mock interviews, preparing for the TSA test and how to improve self confidence, interview skills and writing skills.

I have over 1,000 hours of experience in tutoring A-Level Economics and I have tutored since 2010. I have helped students from different backgrounds and achievement levels and have received positive feedback.

"Resham tutored my son over 18 months whilst he was studying for his A level in Economics. At the time my son started his tuition, he was probably a borderline A/B student . Over time this translated into him achieving an A* in his Economics paper at A level, including 100% in one of his essay papers.
I have no doubt this was as a result of engaging Resham as his teacher, and would have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending her as a tutor. She will get you results!"

"Resham has not only thoroughly prepared me for the demands of my AS economics course but she has also helped me to delve further into economics and develop my deeper understanding and interest"

"My child got 3A*s including 100% on one of his economics papers, so a massive thanks is due to you"

Tutoring Approach

The most important thing when tutoring a student is to be patient and kind as no student benefits from an environment in which they are made to feel stupid or slow. In fact, the problem is often the way students are taught and so I try to make lessons as interactive as possible to ensure that the student really understands what I teach them.

I believe that it is important to tailor the Tuition classes to the needs of the individual student, in order to help students realise their full potential. Students learn in different ways and so it is important to recognise that the method that works for one student, might not work for another.

I like to sit-down with students to establish what they are hoping to achieve, and where their strengths and weaknesses lie in the subject. That way I can ensure that the lessons are as helpful as possible for the student as I try to help the student achieve their goals.

For Long-Term students, I have found that it works best to track the lesson plans according to what has been taught in school during the week. This allows me to help students to to ensure that any misunderstandings are dealt with quickly so that they can build on this knowledge in the next week's lessons at school.

For students close to Exams, I focus more on the concepts that are fundamental to the subject to boost the chance of gaining high marks in the exam. I also focus on teaching exam technique.
