Hello, I am Rebecca. I am an experienced primary teacher. I have been teaching in primary schools around Salford for 7years. I have recently qualified as a specialist deaf teacher at Manchester University. I am a positive, enthusiastic teacher that loves to help and encourage others. I have taught an age range of children from y1 to y6.
I have been a teacher for 7 years, working in one school for nearly 5 years. I completed my PGCE in Primary Teaching in 2016 and have never stopped. I have taught across the age ranges but mostly in year 3 and 4. This academic year, I decided to follow my dream in becoming a specialist teacher for deaf children and I am working in Bury. I have worked with a range of children from EAL to SEN and this has allowed me to have a range of teaching strategies to meet the needs of all my pupils. I am currently working in KS1 teaching deaf children from the national curriculum.
I believe it is vital for children to have confidence and believe in themselves and their learning. I understand that children learn at different paces with preferred methods which I will adapt to in our sessions together. I believe in setting goals and challenges to motivate each child to try their best. My sessions will have a calm and friendly atmosphere where mistakes and questions are welcomed in our learning journey. Homework can be left after each session, if requested and a full briefing on what has been covered in the lesson will be available to parents/ careers once completed.
