I am a current Head of PE with 8 years of experience teaching the subject in 2 different 'Outstanding' schools in Hertfordshire and London. With an unwavering passion for Physical Education and an extensive background in teaching, I am excited to offer my expertise as a tutor.

Tutoring Experience

My expertise extends to preparing students for different qualifications. I have prepared exam groups for AQA and OCR GCSE PE, Cambridge Nationals Sports Science and Sports Studies at Level 2, OCR CTEC and A Level. I understand what it takes to succeed in these exams having built up my experience of preparing students for it. In addition to my teaching experience, I have also worked closely with OCR as a marker, gaining valuable insights into the assessment process. This hands-on involvement has given me a comprehensive understanding of the expectations and standards set by examination boards, enabling me to effectively equip my students with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in their exams.

I have vast experience working with a wide range of students and learning needs and have a vast array of teaching methods to meet the differing needs of my learners. I thrive on develop student confidence in PE and helping break down barriers to learning.

Tutoring Approach

I believe a 'blended learning' approach is the most effective way to not only learn but also retain information. A combination of online learning tools and the traditional pen and paper method is what I have used with my classes for the past 6 years and have seen consistently above average results. I am passionate about developing confidence in students to break down barriers to learning.
