I am a Master's Student in Music at the University of Cambridge and currently hold an offer to study for a PhD at Cambridge. I took A levels in Chemistry, Maths and Music alongside an EPQ during sixth form, finishing with 4 A* grades, before coming to Cambridge to complete my Music degree with Starred First Class Honours. My future career plans include a move into Academia and I particularly enjoy Powerlifting, cooking Asian cuisine and composing my own music in my spare time!
I currently head up the Oxbridge Admissions team at Sir Joseph Williamson's Mathematical School in Kent, where I have worked on personal statements, interview advice and Oxbridge related queries for four years with many successful students. I have also worked as a private piano and theory tutor for six years, teaching students from beginner to grade 8 level.
I promote an engaging style of teaching with maximum enthusiasm for the subject - if my students enjoy learning then they will have no trouble synthesising lots of information quickly in exam contexts! I also advocate for a personalised approach - if you are a visual, aural or practical learner (or something in between!) I will work with you closely to tailor my tuition to what academically helps you the most.
