I teach exclusively piano now, with a long career in teaching all ages and helping younger teachers improve their teaching skills. I have published two books for adults. The first looks is a tutor for adult beginners and the second is for intermediate level players looking at issues that a learner might find challenging such as two against three

Tutoring Approach

I love teaching on a one to one basis, and I can assist anyone wishing to develop their piano performing skills, no matter what the level. I specialise in showing pupils the correct technique to help them overcome problems and open doors to progress.I have found that very few piano students have ever been taught any piano technique and if they don't have natural hands they believe that they can't progress further. It is also important that piano teachers are more aware of how they can help their students.
