I have been a professional musician for 12 years. I'm a performer/composer/arranger and specialise in Popular music and Jazz. I have written pieces for television and have been published both here in the UK and in the USA. My music has been used for adverts in Italy and Spain.
Before becoming a full time writer/performer, I taught music in schools and at after school clubs to young people from the age of 11-19. I have had experience teaching "at risk" young people and adults at a music charity. I have also taught music theory, composition and instruments privately from my home and online.
I embarked on a PGCE course 12 years ago and completed the teaching hours. I was offered the opportunity of a lifetime, to move to the USA and play in a Jazz band in New Orleans. Therefor I didn't achieve my teaching qualification. I'm a great believer in making music fun, and through the creative process, learning and improving is inevitable. There are no wrong notes if they are intentional. I would hope to listen to your wants and needs as a musician and taylor lessons to suit your preferred genre.
