I am a physics teacher with over 30 years experiece teaching physics up to A level. Many of my students progressed to Russell Group universities to study physics, maths, engineering or medicine. I hav trained A level physics teachers in opics such as particle physics and astrophysics. I went to school in north Essex and had a fascination for physics and astronomy from a young age. I was called the ‘Astronut’ by my friends! I love explaining physics to people - friends, family and sometimes strangers in pubs! I like travel and lived and worked in China for a couple of years. I have been to Australia several times and to many places on Europe.
I hold a black belt in Shotokan karate. I like watching rugby union and I am looking forward to the 6 nations matches.
I have taught KS3 to KS5 Physics for over 30 years in England and also taught A level physics in China. I have run revision courses on A level and GCSE physics for over 10 years.
I am very interactive, constantly nurturing and encouraging the student according to their individual needs. I can quickly evaluate their learning style and enable them to apply their knowledge to problem early on to allow them to feel they’re progressing. I’m a big fan of using computer models to elucidate difficult concepts.
