I hold a PhD from Imperial College London in theoretical physics, and currently work as a researcher in data science and machine learning.
I mainly tutor maths, but sometimes also do physics and programming. Tutoring is an important part of my life, because I enjoy one-to-one teaching and preparing motivated and ambitious students for highly competitive outcomes.
I have 7 years of tutoring experience. I also have vast teaching and lecturing experience in mathematics at various levels, including lecturing at Imperial. To date, all my tutees got into Russel Group universities.
I offer highly intense one-to-one tutoring sessions, aimed at dramatically improving your maths results, particularly in the run to the exams. I prefer tutoring at A-level, but will also consider GCSE.
In our first lesson I will give you a variety of problems to understand your level and establish the areas where you need help. It will be a quick assessment, after which we will focus the rest of the session on the most fundamental of your problematic topics. I will leave you with plentiful homework to really nail it down. If we decide to start work together, I will set up a training programme for your improvement.
I will always follow up our lessons with an email, detailing what we studied and attaching exercises for you to practice exactly where you are falling short. I have no shortage of materials with problems across all levels of difficulty, including competitive olympics-style questions.
Since our goal is to get you a high grade on the maths exam, you are encouraged to ask me maths questions even outside of our lessons. Just email me the problems you cannot solve. I try to respond within one or two days with some useful tips or a full solution - depending on your needs.
My lessons are expensive and intense. The fee reflects the quality of support I provide. To get the best value, you should be motivated to succeed. I can help you become a maths wiz, but you must be willing to put the work in.
Spaces with me are limited. I will always find time if we are already working together - so don't worry about that. But apologies in advance if you tried to book me for the first time and I refused.
