I am a Music PhD student and teaching assistant at the University of York. I play piano, guitar and violin and conduct several ensembles and orchestras both at the university and in the community.
I have experience of teaching music on a number of levels. I teach and supervise undergraduates at the University of York, where I have created modules. I also coach students in piano, guitar and music theory. Finally, I regularly teach classes for the community in university Lifelong Learning classes and lead music workshops in ensemble and orchestral playing.
Every student is different and learns at their own pace. I work with each student based on their own learning preferences. I approach material in a thorough but relaxed way.
