I am very passionate about whatever I do because I never settle into mediocrity. I will motivate anything as long as they have breath in them stirring up the winning spirit so as to be the best they can be. I don't encourage learners to play "blame games" as I know that stars shine the most in the darkest clouds. I am sometimes a slave master that will jolt learners out of their comfort zones but not without the empathy and practicalities that enable tasks to be accomplished well. I am very proactive and enduring. I like making a clear distinction between "ordinary" success and "good" success. The most interesting part of me is that I tend to measure my own personal achievements by the achievements of learners.
Home schooling and tuition in the last ten years.
Basic working knowledge of the SEN (Special Education Needs) setting.
I have developed a scheme of work and lesson plans over the years based on the curriculum taught in schools. I will allow learners to express themselves in a relaxed atmosphere, follow the syllabus but making sure to concentrate extensively on the problem areas. The tone must also be flexible, working to the advantage of the learner. Finally, I always try to make learning so much fun leaving learners with a long lasting impact and a profound imagery.
By nature, I am highly structured but I can be deliberately flexible on delivery style just to show empathy and create a more relaxed atmosphere for students to learn with ease. I will use varying prompts in my sessions: these will encourage students to think wide and far, and I will allow students to also think through once given a clue. In this way, students never feel pressured to study but rather they are challenged to be fully responsible for their studies and make the most of the sessions.
Vivid illustrations and colourful annotations that create strong pictorial forms will be used and Presentations that will demonstrate patterns which students are able to spot easily themselves, especially arithmetic and mathematical problem solving. Different practical analogies, centering on everyday life, to draw contrasts and comparisons between problems in order to explain what distinguishes the cases presented are usually other unique ways to solve difficult or challenging concepts. Aspects of the English culture have proved a very useful resource in language learning especially since language is often regarded as a carrier of culture.
