Olivia

Hi! I'm Olivia and I have been tutoring for over eight years. I am currently studying for a masters degree in Politics after completing my undergraduate in Arabic and International Relations, during which I focused on language studies. I have lived in several different countries which has given me a deep interest in different languages and cultures. I am fluent in English and French, I am conversational in German and Arabic, and have basic skills in Spanish. I know firsthand how difficult learning languages can be, so I am able to help my students with their issues with compassion and experience.

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring for over eight years, both online and in person. I teach ESL to children, and French to children, teenagers (GCSE), and adults. I have also taught different sizes of groups (one-to-one, groups, and classrooms) and I am confident and comfortable teaching a wide variety of ages, levels, and personalities.

Tutoring Approach

I structure my lessons to meet the student's needs and wants. I consolidate essential basic language skills while also using activities and different content types to keep lessons engaging and interesting. I use student's interests to make their lessons as fun as possible while also making them useful and fruitful. My students ages also affect the lessons, as I will tailor the lessons to match their age, any exams or classes they may be taking, and their desired outcomes.
