Assistant Lead Examiner for AQA GCSE English Literature. Trust Lead for English across a multi-academy trust. Offering ‘final push / booster’ sessions for Y11 students in the final weeks leading up to GCSEs, with focused, targeted work to see quick and tangible results. Longer-term, regular sessions for Y10 students looking to improve over time are also available.

Previous tutees have been awarded Grade 9s and have subsequently secured 6th Form places at competitive schools such as Westminster and St Paul’s.

Tutoring Experience

Having worked as a qualified English teacher and English Senior Leader for many years, I now lead English departments across secondary trusts to help them to improve their results. I am also an experienced Senior Examiner for English Literature with exam board AQA. I originally trained through the competitive Teach 1st Leadership Development Programme, and have since worked in both the independent and state sectors, with young people from all walks of life.

I believe all young people can and should succeed, and I enjoy working unflaggingly hard with them to help them do so. Whether the mission is to achieve a Grade 9, that vital Grade 5 for college, or something inbetween, everyone deserves to achieve, and with determination this is possible for anyone.
