I am an enthusiastic, friendly and conscientious person and love to pass on my knowledge and enjoyment of of France and French culture as well as teaching others to speak French and have spoken French from a young age.
I have recently retired after 38 years of teaching and held numerous roles within 3
different MFL departments, finishing as Head of Department. I have experience of teaching at both GCSE and A level.
I have also been an examiner for the AQA exam board , marking the GCSE writing paper and am therefore able to pass on useful information to improve this skill.
I use a variety of teaching methods to help students improve and achieve their targets, using both online resources and hard copies of text books or exercise books. I enjoying helping students to use their prior knowledge to solve problems and build confidence in all areas of the language, whether that be spoken, written or listening skills. Explanation and practise of grammar skills will also help improve the students overall standard.
