I have been teaching the flute privately for 40 years.
I teach any at any level the students wishes, and I can be as serious or as fun as is desired by the student.
I was trained classically (applied flute performance degree) at Northwestern University in Chicago, and have had the privilege of playing in several Hollywood major motion films (The Matrix, Toy Story, Jurassic Park, among others) as well as hundreds of nations TV commercials while living in LA for 23yrs.
I've also been the touring flautist for the English Classic Rock group, the Moody Blues, since 2003, and was part of their iconic induction performance at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.

I teach according to the level of seriousness (or fun) that the student wishes. I have students from the age of 6 to 80. Everybody wants something different, and based on my experience playing the flute, I'm able to accommodate each and every wish for each particular student.

Tutoring Approach

I am classicly trained, and teach music from that standpoint. However, I also can teach students to play any style, and by ear if they so desire.
