I have a first class honours degree from St. John's College, Durham University, qualified teacher status, a Master's degree in Special Educational Needs (with a focus on literacy difficulties and dyslexia) and an MSc (Conversion) in Psychology.
I have a proven track record in helping students achieve high results and to feel better about their learning.
I am a qualified teacher with more than 25 years of teaching experience. I have taught English for 7 years in a top Independent Senior Girls' School in Guildford at all levels between Y7 - Y13 (sixth form),preparing students for English Language and English Literature GCSE and English Literature A Level. My students typically gain the very highest grades. I have also taught Maths up to GCSE level.
I have tutored for the past 18 years and have vast experience helping pupils pass Common Entrance and gain Scholarships to leading Independent Schools in Surrey. I have also helped many primary aged pupils have a boost in their confidence and to achieve high results in their SAT tests. I have taught many secondary aged pupils and tailored learning to individual needs, so that every pupil I have worked with has increased their confidence and made progress academically.
I worked for 2 years supporting pupils with special needs at a small school in Chertsey, 6 years at a Boys' Preparatory School in Godalming and prior to that in state primary schools.
