Hi, I'm Nicole, a qualified science teacher with a degree in Biochemistry. I’m currently working in a specialist school for students with dyslexia and additional learning needs. My passion lies in helping students build confidence in their learning and achieve their full potential.
I have extensive experience teaching science to secondary school students, tailoring my approach to meet diverse learning needs. My work in a specialist setting has given me deep insight into supporting children with dyslexia, ADHD and ASD.
I believe in a personalised, supportive approach that goes beyond just teaching content. My sessions are interactive, engaging, and adapted to each student’s strengths and challenges. I focus on building confidence, fostering curiosity, and developing effective learning strategies, particularly for students with additional needs.
My post graduate training further enhances my approach by deepening my understanding of child development, emotional wellbeing, and learning challenges. The psychoanalytic observational framework helps me tune into students’ individual needs, recognise underlying emotional factors that may affect learning, and adapt my teaching accordingly. By integrating reflective practice and developmental insights, I create a supportive and structured learning environment where students feel understood, valued, and empowered to succeed.
