Hello. I am a qualified Secondary Mathematics Teacher, with a 2:1 degree in Mathematics and Computing. I have a PGCE in secondary mathematics.

Tutoring Experience

I have been a teacher for 20 years and have taught in Secondary and Further Education. I have tutored both adults and children, at all levels from year 7 through to GCSE and A level. I am a current examiner for GCSE mathematics.

Tutoring Approach

I believe that for a student to gain the most from their tuition, the tutor needs to be knowledgeable about their subject, but also how the subject will be examined. I tutor to suit the needs of the individual. If this is during the exam years, I will focus on exam technique and how to improve current working grade. For all students, I gain an understanding of where there are gaps in knowledge or understanding and help to fill in those gaps, enabling them to build and increase their understanding. My tutor sessions are designed to be enjoyable and I look to build a relationship will all my tutees whereby they receive the best possible outcome from our time working together.
