Professional full-time tutor for over eight years. Students sent to Oxbridge and Russell Group Universities. Taught in secondary schools from Leeds, UK to Kathmandu, Nepal. Ran filmmaking courses with the British Film Institute and National Film and Television School. Extensive experience across a wide array of essay-based subjects. I have run interview and examination preparation of all humanities and arts based Oxbridge courses.
Across all my subjects I have tutored every exam board and paper, with complete experience and knowledge, after eight years, of all subjects, periods of history, and optional modules. I have extensive notes, exemplar work, and other documents available to my students.
I work with a wide variety of ability sets and experiences, and I'm always open to accommodate any and all educational needs.
Students learn more by discussion, debate and efficient note-taking. I have a prime focus on study skills and can teach a variety of revision techniques focused on mark scheme criteria. I work primarily from students' work, either through worksheets or practise essays. I tailor my work 1-1 to meet the needs of my students. I'm a friendly, affable, and hardworking person - from a working-class background. I hope to genuinely pass on my tenacity, ambition, and awareness on to every student I work with. I'm dedicated to my work and take each student's ambitions to heart with regular progress updates.
During exam season I offer extra sessions alongside 24/7 help, with supplemental free drop-in sessions for my students to also work together and collaborate during the toughest part of the year.
My cancellation policy: students can cancel sessions up to an hour in advance. Exceptions are obviously allowed. Lessons cancelled without notice will still be billed.
From Summer 2024 onwards I now work part-time with sessions available across Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday.
