I graduated from Cambridge University with a 2:1 in the Human, Social and Political Sciences and have been tutoring for 5 years. Recent students have gained A*s at A-Level, 7-9s at GCSE and high scores in 11+ SATs. I believe in teaching learning techniques which give students the confidence to achieve high grades for life. I also make the teaching experience personalised to a student’s abilities and interests so they can develop significantly faster than in a standard classroom.

I will always look to prioritise student welfare, and have a CPD qualification in Safeguarding Children alongside my Enhanced DBS Certificate. My voluntary work for The Mix Young Person's Helpline has provided me with additional training in emotional support. I also work with the Neurodiverse Self Advocacy Organisation so have specialist knowledge regarding autistic and ADHD students.

EXPERIENCE

POLITICS
I teach Politics A-Level and Degree Level and have led a number of students to an A* grade. As a Cambridge University politics graduate, I can provide an extra level of knowledge and contemporary understanding of the subject, making students' essays stand out.

MATHS/SCIENCE
I teach KS1, KS2, KS3 and GCSE (AQA/Edexcel). I value clarity in understanding, so that students have the tools to get the right answer every time. I also work on revision techniques to prepare for exams.

ENGLISH
I teach KS1, KS2, KS3 and GCSE. I will look to improve your critical thinking, essay writing skills and exam technique.

ENTRANCE EXAMS
I can assist with 11+ and 13+ exams. I have a number of long term students who started working with me in Year 4 and 5 and are now preparing for their SATs.

Tutoring Approach

I am most interested in teaching skills that will allow you to achieve high grades for life. I believe there is a methodical approach one can take for exams to ensure success. It requires hard work and discipline, but there are a series of techniques that can rewire how you think about working hard. This will ensure you are most efficient with your time and focus your energies towards the right areas.

VOLUNTEERING

Neurodiverse Self Advocacy Partnership - 2023-Present
I mentor newly identified autistic people through their journey of self-discovery for the NDSA.

The Mix — 2019-2023
I volunteered once a week for The Mix’s young person’s helpline, for 16-25yr olds. I have been trained to provide emotional support and to help signpost onto other organisations.

Projects Abroad — 2018
I spent 2 months in South Africa helping run a summer camp for disadvantaged children from townships.
