Natalie

Hi, I'm Natalie (she/her) and I've been teaching for 27 years. I have a 16 year old daughter and a very docile cat. In terms of my experience I have prepared students for the 11+, through excellent teaching and tutoring I have helped many primary pupils to achieve great results in Maths and English and have a lot of experience working with children with special needs too. I recognise how important it is for children and young people to have confidence in their abilities and I motivate them to achieve. I provide feedback to parents so that they can continue to support them to achieve their goals.

Tutoring Experience

My 27 years of experience extend to Early Years, KS1,2 and some work with lower KS3. I have run several 11+ clubs at school and tutored students independently for this too with a great success rate. I have also been Head of Year at a 6th Form, where I provided a lot of support with career choice and subject options as I am a trained Careers Advisor as well as a teacher.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is very much of encouragement and motivation. It is essential to assess where the child or young person is at in their learning and build on this at a rate they are comfortable with. It is also important to give consistent praise/rewards and ensure that parents are well informed of their progress.
