I’m a primary school teacher with QTS and a PGCE in Primary Education (5–11), backed by over 20 years of experience working with children. I hold a Bachelor's (Honours) Degree BSc: Education, Childhood and Youth Studies.
My journey into teaching began with a deep interest in how children learn and grow, which led me through Montessori training, nursery leadership and into primary education. I’ve worked with a wide range of learners, including those with SEND and EAL, and bring a calm, encouraging approach to every session. I’m passionate about helping children succeed, and I focus on creating a supportive environment where they can build both skills and confidence.
I’ve worked across early years and primary settings, including leadership roles in nurseries and classroom teaching experience across Key Stages 1 and 2. As a qualified teacher, I have planned and delivered lessons in line with the National Curriculum, developed targeted support strategies and supported learners of varying abilities and backgrounds.
My experience includes working closely with children on core subjects such as maths, phonics, reading, and writing. I’ve also played an active role in closing learning gaps, preparing children for SATs, and helping them develop a love of learning. This wide-ranging experience has given me the tools to adapt my teaching to the unique needs of every child.
I offer structured, one-to-one tutoring that is tailored to each child’s needs and learning style. My main specialism is primary maths, where I focus on developing strong foundations, number fluency and confidence. I also bring considerable experience in phonics, reading and writing, supporting children with literacy skills, comprehension and creative expression.
My sessions are calm, focused and encouraging. I aim to create a safe space where children feel comfortable to ask questions, make mistakes and enjoy their learning journey. Whether your child needs to catch up, prepare for assessments, or simply build confidence in the classroom, I’m here to support their success every step of the way.
