My main line of work is an engineering consultant and I have over seven years of experience as an engineer having graduated from the University of Cambridge and Loughborough University.

But I also have a passion for tutoring Maths and Science for ages 11-18. With these subjects being short of teachers, support is required for students to do well. But also to help students enjoy these subjects and know their relevance within today's world.

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring for over five years. My experience began when I was asked to help out the undergraduate engineering students with their tutorials whilst I was at the University of Cambridge. This really put me in the deep end but I was really happy with how I had done but then hearing positive feedback from the students and the lecturers themselves. Therefore I started tutoring. I then began tutoring at a supplementary school teaching KS3 and GCSE Maths and Science and from there some of the students went on to do A-level Maths and Physics at some of the top universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College and other well established universities.
I also offer Oxbridge applications especially with Physics and Maths Aptitude tuition and Mock tests.

Tutoring Approach

Every student is different and that is key for me. Some students understand the fundamentals but when a question is presented to them they struggle due to the information. So I try to make sure the students are able to weed out the necessary information to complete the questions.
Then there are some students who are overwhelmed by their subjects and it's always a case of breaking it down into blocks and slowly building so that the student is able to cope with it and become confident.
