I graduated from Cardiff University with a degree in Politics in 2016. Since graduation I have completed the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course. I am in full-time work but tutor part-time during the evenings and weekends.
I am able to tutor Psychology and Religious Studies to GCSE and A level standard and Politics and Law to an A level and degree standard.
I am a hardworking and patient individual who believes they can offer a high standard of teaching to students and support them towards achieving their desired grades.
I am happy to travel up to 10 miles from my home and am currently available evenings and weekends.
I have tutored for the past seven years and during that time have built rapport with a number of tutees. It has allowed me to gain experience in how students best learn and the areas students find most difficult.
Furthermore at university I was part of a charity that would teach refugees English once a week. This enabled me to strengthen my teaching approach, and how people learn best.
I tailor my teaching style to what is required and wanted by the student. However, in general I try to make the learning interactive and use a variety of teaching methods, depending on the subject area being focused on. I think it is important to apply the theory to real-life scenarios as this makes learning more interesting. A focus on exam techniques throughout are also crucial, as it is important to keep the end goal relevant alongside the learning.
