I am an experienced science/physics teacher. I work in a secondary school and in a sixth form. I teach Physics in all range of ages and abilities and Science (Biology/Chemistry) up to GCSEs. I offer the 1st lesson at half price.
I am currently taking on new students of all secondary ages and abilities to help them with their homeschooling due to school closures.
My aim is always to provide lessons where students feel valued and challenged, which allows them to reach their full potential.
I have a degree in Physics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece and I am QTS approved in the UK.
I had been teaching since 1992 in groups of students and one to one. During September 2017 I have been teaching at various secondary schools.
My subject knowledge is more than sufficient to challenge all students and achieve high outcomes in their tests. An example of this is my teaching in year 13 last year. My outstanding lessons led them to achieve A and A* in their exams. I always provide personalized pathways and ways of learning, through bespoke one to one tutoring.
The recent results of year 11’s mock exams in physics showed that my students have made a good progress of at least 2 grades since I started teaching them.
I am willing to go above and beyond to ensure all students reach their targets.
I have the ability to use appropriately a range of teaching and learning strategies for individuals and groups which stimulate, challenge, engage and motivate students.
I always have high expectations of all students in my lessons. I promote high standards, success and achievement. I use a range of questioning strategies to regularly check that my students understand the concepts and skills introduced and that they are making progress.
I always set homework that enhance students’ creativity and thinking mind. I use models to enable my students consolidate their knowledge. I focus on ensuring the progress of every student by developing their skills, knowledge, and understanding.
I plan and organize all my lessons so that they address the needs of individual students. My aim is to challenge all my students in every lesson.
I always use appropriate assessment (formal and informal) to test the level of understanding and thus the progress towards meeting the stated objectives. I provide clear feedback on students’ progress and always evaluate at the end of the lesson to what extent the objectives have been achieved.
I am a teacher who can inspire and motivate children to achieve beyond their potential. My passion will certify my words if you consider me for you or for your children.
