My musical journey has led me to many countries and so many amazing opportunities. After working in London as a professional Musician, I won a Scholarship to the prestigious Grove School of Music in Los Angeles California.
The Present
Over the past few years, I have concentrated on writing Music Books at teaching privately
I Studied performance and arranging for four years at the Dick Grove with Joel Di Bartello (Bassist for Buddy Rich and The Tonight Show), Dick Grove (legendary Arranger & Composer) and Jay Daversa ( Principal Trumpet with Stan Kenton) amongst others.
While in the US I performed with many well-known artists including Phil Upchurch (Michael Jackson) Taifa Brown (James Brown), King Cotton, Early
Mc Allister.
In 1998 I moved to Norway to teach and while there I worked with many well-known artists Scandinavian Artists and Big Bands.
In 2003 I moved back to the UK
Over the years I worked and toured with Kenny Jones (The Who), Mike Rutherford (Genesis), Zoot Money, Paul Young (Sad Café) as well as being a member of Jazz Funk Outfit The Big Idea.
I have taught at many Colleges and written books on Modern Music Theory, Sightreading, Technique, Eartraining and Improvisation.
