I am a creative and active person. I enjoy going to the gym and have a passion for home improvements and DIY jobs. I enjoy board games and tabletop RPG games such as Dungeons & Dragons. My true passion is helping people, especially those who want to excel no matter the obstacles that are placed in front of them.
I trained in Secondary education, but very quickly realised that my passion was in a SEND environment. I have worked within a special needs provision for boys for just under three years, and in that time I have work across many stages of curriculum in my career due to the nature of the environment in which I work. Much of my teaching has been in line with stage 3 and 4, with some aspects of stage 2 and 5 in both Maths and English.
I try to maintain a firm but nurturing approach in my practice. I believe that this is important so that children know what my expectations are of them, but also that I am working in partnership with them to better themselves and learn new skills. In teaching I also endeavor to cater learning to the interests of my pupils as much as is practically possible.
